Back to the drawing board...

This week I am starting work on my next five designs which will be added to my debut wallpaper collection 'Navajo'. I have spent the day going back through my original research to refresh ideas and inspiration! Images are either my own or taken from my Tumblr all of which are fully credited to the original source. http://www.surfacephilia.tumblr.com/

LIBERTY to be first official stockist of SurfacePhilia wallpapers!

And there was me trying to keep it quiet as I have a terrible habit of blabbing my mouth off before things are finalised, and it never materialising...

This time the job has been done for me, I think I can allow myself to get very excited now!

Post TENT update!

Possibly one of the most stressful weeks of my life is finally over. Its taken a day to recover from LDF and I'm quickly updating the blog with my first exhibition build at Tent. I was sharing my stand with the uber talented Jamie Josef Fry and his wooden and concrete wares (which were a massive hit with retailers, manufacturers and the buying public P.S!) Big thanks to Jamie for doing the man bit of screwing the hanging system up and getting it level. ;)

ALL SET FOR TENT LONDON, London Design Festival 2011!

I'm typing this with my eyes closed and a shaking hand from exhaustion
mixed with too much caffeine :/

Heading off to London on Tuesday for my first exhibition trade show as SurfacePhilia! After 2 months of pretty much 15 hour days and kissing goodbye to any kind of weekend down time... I cant wait to get to Tent London and get this ball rolling (and possibly also regain some kind of normal existance where by I could maybe sit and watch a film,... not drag my dog around the block for a 20mph walk,... answer texts, return friendly calls and generally not look like Uncle Fester)

So! From Thursday 22nd Sept I will be stood with a fixed smile at Stand No: L06 Hall: T3 Tent London, The Truman Brewery on Brick Lane, as part of London Design Festival. Come and say HI!! And maybe bring me some chocolate and coffee and I will love you forever.

NEW STUDIO for moi!

I got my new studio keys last week and met my studio buddies :) The space is still pretty empty and needs sectioning with boards but I reckon we'll all be up and running within the next week! There are six of us moving into this two floor unit, aptly called STUDIO 69! Another five in the unit over the road and another eleven just on the other side of that. Got to love empty property council schemes!! Cant wait to get moved in properly and working next week.

NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH! Greeting Cards by SurfacePhilia.

So I caved in and made me some cards... and here they are. Seven different designs which have been created at some point in the past eight months or so - previously only seen on my ceramics, but I have realised after attending all of my own markets that cards sell well! Should have done this sooner! GAH.

They will be going on sale for the first time this Saturday at Designers Marketplace, Middlesbrough Town Hall Crypt from 11-4pm. Then as of next week they will also be up for sale on my online shop. SUPER! :)
